Yes, I used this printing process for cartoon characters for an exhibit.
They came out great! I don't remember any part of  the ink being higher than
another. The prints were full color with no clean/unprinted Sintra exposed
in the middle. 

Technical tip of the day: The fabricator was also able to use a EPS outline
embedded within the Photoshop file to cut the outline of the characters on
their CNC router.
