Dear all:

While I realize that there have been some misgivings about "how to land
a job" postings, I feel that this one is relevant to those in our
field...

Is there anyone out there who uses or is a freelance art handler or
registrar? If so, how do these freelancers find gigs; and more
importantly, how does one go about getting contacted for these jobs? Is
it conceivable to subsist on a string of these freelance projects?

Presently, I work for an art handling company responsible the MoMA move
to LIC. I don't want this job to end! (because I'll have to stop my
daily work w/ MoMA's great collection and work on the trucks). Having
talked to the registrars and preparitor at MoMA, I still can't get a
feel for how one does it.

Thanks for your help,

Chris
