Hmm, that makes sense. Though I liked the exhibit very much it had the
look and feel of an Italian trade show. Is that a model that any
American museums are looking at in doing multimedia projects or
going online? That is, hooking up with corporate sponsors who will
produce multimedia in the same way that some do more traditional
promotional material? That brings up the question of whether these
things should be seen as promotion or part of the curatorial program,
or both.

I understand Silicon Graphics has been courting museums (or vice versa).
The 486 was more than adequate, it just seemed abandoned, an
afterthought to the exhibit and so it was sad.
