Here's my 2 cents on which museum Claire and company were trying to recall.
The Museum of Early American Southern Decorative Arts is in Winston-Salem,
NC. I have not been there, but I have heard wonderful things about the
museum. I am sure there are other Dec. Arts museums in the south - that
focus on the south, but MEASDA has 19 period rooms and 6 galleries spanning
the 17th through 19th century.  I hope that answers your question.
