Senior Specialist/Department Head, Prints, NY Auction House
For the New York office of our internationally renowned auction house
client, we are seeking a Senior Specialist/Department Head in Prints.  The
successful candidate will generate business, develop and maintain business
contacts and strategic opportunities; identify and maintain relationships
with major clients, dealers and collectors; liaise with Estates & Appraisals
with a focus on generating new long-term relationships; work with buyers
during sales week; research and catalogue works for public and private
sales; work on catalogue production and layout; review photo inquiries;
coordinate sale set-up; other duties as necessary.  The ideal candidate will
have at least 6 years experience with prints with a focus on the
Contemporary market, and proven appraisal and business getting skills.  BA
in art history required, MA preferred.  Excellent communications,
interpersonal and organizational skills essential.  Salary to 75K DOE with
