I suggest that you wash the gloves in the manner used for muslin used to
store textiles and other materials: wash them as you normallywould.  The
type of detergent doesn't really matter, although dye- and perfume- free
is preferable ("brighteners" are actually ultraviolet dyes that make a
fabric look "brighter").  Then run them through another cycle with no
detergent.  This rinses out all detergent residue, etc.  Use hot water.
