We worried about this when we put in our museum's first interactive
exhibit last spring, but decided we'd just put the books out and see
what happened.  It turned out that none of our books walked away
(although the toys from our play corner did...but that's a different
topic).

That's my two cents for trusting in the good of humanity (except where
toy airplanes are concerned)!
