Children?s Museum of the Arts seeks a full-time Special Events & Membership
Coordinator

The Children?s Museum of the Arts is dedicated to nurturing the creative
development of children aged 12 and younger. As the only children?s art
museum in the tri-state area, CMA is dedicated to exhibiting and collecting
children?s artwork, as well as providing children with hands-on
opportunities to explore a variety of artistic media. The Museum?s
educational mission is to offer a broad range of art-making and art
appreciation programs in schools, social service institutions, and
community based organizations.

HOURS/SALARY:
The hours are Sunday ? Thursday from 9:30 ? 5:30, with weekend and evening
hours as needed.  Salary commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This full-time position will focus on the following areas:
Coordinate all aspects of the Museum?s birthday party program: respond to
inquiries, schedule the parties, and birthday party artists, handle all
paperwork and vendor contracts related to birthday parties, maintain
birthday party supplies.
Coordinate all aspects of the Museum?s membership program: maintain the
database, organize membership events and campaigns.
Coordinate the Annual Family Benefit: work closely with the Museum?s
Benefit Committee, sponsors, and vendors in all aspects of the Museum?s
Annual Family Benefit.
Assisting in marketing the Museum?s birthday party and membership programs.
Create brochures, assist with marketing initiatives, and campaigns.
Additional duties include: Being the Sunday floor manager, mange evening
rentals, participate in weekly staff meetings, and quarterly artists?
meetings.
General administrative support (answering phones, filing paperwork, making
sure there are enough education brochures and office supplies,
organizational tasks such as filing, collating etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have strong organization and communication skills,
ability to multi-task, be project oriented and a team player. A successful
candidate must be outgoing, customer service oriented.  An undergraduate
degree in arts management, marketing, or related-field preferred.
