Looking for exciting new research and resources contributing to the
theory and practice of museum education ...

MUSEUM EDUCATION MONITOR (MEM), the e-newsletter, is now compiling a
list of ongoing research projects being undertaken by practitioners,
students, and academics around the world on questions relating to
museum/gallery education or interpretation for our upcoming June 2006
issue. 
 
If you would like to list your research, please send an e-mail to
[log in to unmask] that includes:
- name of project
- research question(s) [no more than 50 words, please]
- principal researchers
- site(s) where research is being conducted
- time span
- contact information
- key words to describe the project [no more than 4 or 5, please] 
Deadline for submissions for this issue is *Friday, June 9, 2006.*

This month we also plan to highlight links to online websites that
document past research and reports on the practice of museum/gallery
education. Websites like the following were featured in the April 2006
issue:
- NSTA Web Seminars
- Visitor Research at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, UK
- Institute for Inquiry: Examining the art of science education, The
Exploratorium, USA. 
- Center for Informal Learning and Schools, The Exploratorium, USA
- Open Access Journals in the Field of Education
Share resources with others in the field by sending an e-mail to
[log in to unmask] that lists the URL and a brief description of the
site.

All listings are, of course, free of charge. Submissions are included in
the current MEM and catalogued afterwards in our archives. Full access
to the MEM Archives is available only to subscribers. However,
time-limited guest passes are available to students and other
researchers by contacting MEM at [log in to unmask] .

FYI, a complimentary copy of the April 2006 issue of Museum Education
Monitor, which focused on research into e-learning in museums and other
informal learning settings, is available upon request to
[log in to unmask] .
