I am an Art History student at Cologne University in Germany
and am preparing a paper on Cologne and American contemporary art.
Im hoping to get an American view on Cologne  or Rheinland contemporary
art.  If anyone would answer all or any of the following, I would be
most grateful!

What comes to mind when you think of contemporary art from Cologne or the
Rheinland?
Which artists do you know from this area?  
Are there currently any exhibitions in galleries or musumes in your local
area
that are exhibiting artists from Cologne or Rhein region?
