Following is a job anouncement:

DIRECTOR, LIST VISUAL ARTS CENTER

The List Visual Arts Center (LVAC) at MIT, a lively exhibition and
collections program in contemporary art, seeks a director.  Candidates
should be energetic, creative, experienced professionals who are able to
lead a small, highly qualified and motivated staff.  The director will have
overall responsibility for all LVAC programs: exhibitions and publications,
artist residencies, innovative educational activities related to the
exhibitions and collections, and management of the collections, including
acquisitions and commissioning artwork through MIT's One Percent for the
Arts policy.  Experience in writing grant applications and fundraising a
must.  The director manages an operating budget of $750,000 and reports to
the Associate Provost for the Arts.

Appropriate qualifications include at least 8 years of demonstrated
curatorial and management experience, excellent writing, communication and
diplomatic skills, an advanced degree in art history, and a sense of humor.
