Hello all:

I am hoping to return to the "museum world" after a
two-year hiatus to finish my master's degree. I am
trying to gather information about the going rate
these days for a freelance writer/interpetive
consultant. Since I have been out of the freelance
world for many years now, I have no idea what people
are charging. Based on my experience:

-master's degree in Heritage Preservation/Public
History
-2 years experience at an exhibit firm
-6 years as a writer/program coordinator at a natural
history museum
-2 years as freelance writer/consultant

Would would you all recommend? Also, are there any
professional organizations for independent museum
professionals? I would appreciate any advice/feedback
you all may have to offer. Thank you.
