Dear Steve,

Consenses is that handlers use clean gloves when handling works on paper.
However, I know conservators with EXTREMELY dry hands who handle works -
sans gloves. If you choose to work without gloves, you should wash your
hands frequently with pure soap, such as unscented castille. The effort is
to keep skin oils from transferring to paper. Keep it clean.

Best Regards, Steve Thomas
