While it seems that there is somewhat of a difference of opinion as to
whether the list should allow job seekers to post their qualifications, it
doesn't seem like a worth while use of time to keep posting messages
like, "Resume postings are not allowed at this list!"  In most cases the
job seekers are new to the list and don't realize this faux pas.  We
should resign ourselves to seeing more of these messages until it
is more clear in the "Welcome to the Listserv" message what type of job
postings are acceptable.  Meanwhile, doesn't it seem more humane to
contact the job seeker directly and politely suggest the archives or
a web page rather than repeatedly tell him/her not to use the list in such
a fashion?
