Development Internship

Curatorial Assistance Traveling Exhibitions (CATE) seeks a bright and
energetic self-starter in the position of Development Intern to assist with
planning and implementing our fundraising program.

Company Description: Curatorial Assistance Traveling Exhibitions is a
nonprofit arts organization specializing in the creation and management of
traveling fine art exhibitions. We develop and circulate art exhibitions
covering a wide range of contemporary and traditional visual arts and
cultural subjects to museums and university galleries and art institutions
worldwide.

Position Description: Responsibilities include researching and compiling a
new database of prospective corporate and foundation funders, researching
grants for art exhibition projects, collecting foundation reports, setting
up files and databases, written and verbal correspondence. Intern will work
with the Executive Director and will participate in company meetings to
conceptualize and plan fundraising efforts for the next year.

Requirements: Strong research and data management skills; background in the
visual arts and an active interest in grant writing and fundraising for the
arts; excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-directed,
can-do attitude; knowledge of computers. Familiarity with arts funding
and/or nonprofit procedures is a plus.

Location: Curatorial Assistance Traveling Exhibitions is located at 113
East Union Street, Pasadena, California, in the heart of Old Town Pasadena.
We are close to public transit, and can offer free parking
to interns.

Schedule/Pay: Full-time and Part-time available. Course credit is possible.
Minimum of 8 hours per week is required. Schedule is flexible, but we
prefer interns to work 4 or more hours per day as is possible. Office hours
are Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00. This is an unpaid internship, however we
can offer a small stipend for commuting/daily expenses.

Starting Date: On-going.
