Sally,
You should get in touch with David Heppell at the Royal Museums of
Scotland, Chambers Street, Edinburgh EH1 1JF, Scotland. He is a big
wheel in the Society of Cryptozoology, which is devoted to studying
such things as horned hares, Loch Ness Monsters, mermaids (which up
to now have always turned out to be taxidermy fakes) etc. The Museum
also has the furred trout - ask him about that!

The other person to contact is S. Peter Dance, present address
Cavendish House, 83 Warwick Road, Carlisle, CA1 1EB, England. He
wrote a book on the subject some years ago; my copy is at home so
cannot give you the ref. today.

Hope this is some help.

Regards,
Bill P.
