I believe you are referring to the "California Center for the Arts" in
Escondido (north of San Diego).  There is a museum there, part of a
performing arts complex.  It was designed by Charles Moore and opened a few
years ago.  However, they are struggling mightily to survive and in fact the
center's management was recently turned over to the City of Escondido because
they were experiencing six-figure deficits.  I'm not sure that is a model
capital campaign!  But if you want to contact the museum, the director is

I understand that the Huntington Art Museum at the University of Texas,
Austin, is in the midst of a campaign to build a new building on campus; the
