You have to love the British: a flashlight is a torch, an elevator is a
left--and a keeper is a curator--for the person keeps the collection
organized and protected.

So, let's have a pint in salute of our British colleagues!

Subject: what is a keeper?

This might sound elementary.
I am helping a friend with her resume. She speaks very little English, and
she tells me that in Egypt, she was the keeper at a museum. I do not know
how to translate this. Could anyone tell me the American counterpart to a
Keeper?
Thank you
