Yes, Laura, this is just the kind of document that one
can easily upload to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MuseDocs . If you're
not a member, it's easy to register and sign on. The
donor uploads the file once, sends an announcement to
the group of its availability (be sure to let folks
know in what medium it was created, i.e., PageMaker,
Word, etc.), and then (s)he can go about her/his merry
way.

It's then up to those who want to receive it to
download a copy. The donor isn't inundated with all
those me-too requests.

The added benefit is that Yahoogroups has a free virus
scan it puts the document through before it will
accept it.

Everytime we get 10 or 20 "Give it to me, too" notes,
I want to holler. It's such a waste to the list when
it could so easily be handled in this fashion. I make
nothing in the process as you have noted. No requests
for donation, and any advertising you may come across
comes from Yahoogroups, not me trying to generate
revenue.

For the record, if you must do a me-too and don't want
to use Yahoogroups, how about copying the email
address of the person you are requesting the document
from, forwarding their note, and pasting their address
over the Museum-L email. At least, in that way, the
list doesn't have to go through all those Me2s.
