Regarding your desire to obtain a model statue of Liberty, there is an organization of Statue of Liberty afficionados, and I know they publish a newsletter periodically. I haven't seen one lately, but if one comes through soon, I'll provide you with a contact name and address. I'm sure that among their vast membership, someone will have one.

I've been lecturing on the Statue of Liberty for years, as the result of some projects I did with the American Society of Civil Engineers back during the time that the Lady was being restored. I've got lots of great slides and info, and I do have a very accurate model (alas, no light), which stands about 18 inches tall on its pedestal. Would that help? Let me know--write or call me at 330-453-7666. I'm at my desk right now.

Hello fellow Listers:

Dows anybody know of a museum or other institution that may have in their
collection a model of Bartholdi's "Statue of Liberty?" Perferably one with
a light up torch. I'm looking for authentic Bartholdi models, not
contemporary replicas.

Anybody know of one?

thank you!
