Hello Andrew,

You might want to have a look at the many publications (all freely
available and downloadable in HTML, Word or PDF) on intellectual property
issues on the Web site of the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN)
at www.chin.gc.ca.

Among the numerous resources in the section on Creating and Managing
Digital Content, you will find case studies on digitization projects and a
guide, Producing Online Heritage Projects.

[RE: "Also of concern to me are issues of copyright
and intellectual property, and how these issues pertain specifically to
digital media and museums as educational institutions.

I would like to hear from anyone who has been involved in digital media
projects used alongside exhibitions. Did you feel the project was
successful?
What do you feel are the strengths and weaknesses of using digital media in
this
way? And what are some pitfalls to watch out for in implementing digital
projects?"]

Best wishes,

Wendy Thomas
