Any chance some of the discussions and talks will be posted online? I would
love to join but do not live in the States. Let me know if there's any
summaries or essays being made available to anyone who couldn't join.
Thanks,
Best,
Ziva

Subject: San Jose State University Art History Association Presents First
Workshop on Careers in Art History

Thanks to the efforts of all San Jose State University Art History
Association officers and the kind support of all the speakers, it is my
pleasure to anounce to you our first workshop for this semester titled
AHA Workshop on Careers in Art History.

The workshop will take place in two sessions: Monday Sep 29 from 12 to
2pm and Thursday Oct 2 from 12 to 2pm. Location will be San Jose State
University, Art Building, Room 105 for both sessions.

On Monday's session will have two speakers:
Laurie Morgan (a Job Consultant with the career center on campus
focusing on art and art history job market) and will talk to us about
strategies for finding a job. Kathleen Lang (our famous alumni, and
which you requested to invite)will talk to us about careers for art
historians.

On Thursday's session will have also two speakers:
Dr. Anne Simonson will talk to us about teaching careers in community
colleges and universities, while Dr. Jo Hernandez will talk to us about
careers in museums.

It was not an easy task to get for all of us all these highly
resourceful speakers. So, mark your calender and come join us if you
want to know what sort of jobs are out there for you and how can you get
one for yourself.

For those who are just starting and wondering if art history is for
them, here is an excellent chance to get it from the experts and plan
your courses according to the career you identify with.

Bring your lunch and enjoy a relaxed setting. Refereshments and sweets
will be available. Tell your colleagues and bring them over.

Enjoy your first AHA workshop and stay tuned for other AHA activities.

See you all there.

My sincere regards,
Mohamad.
