Hi Jenny,

Many of the zoos and aquaria to which I've gone have displays about endangered
species.  Typically included in the formula are:

* examples of the ugly products produced with the animals' furs, skins, teeth,
bones, etc.
* photographs of poachers with illegal kills
* statistical information regarding illegal hunting/fishing

The displays often have great impact . . . at least on me!

One great example that springs to mind is the Metropolitan Toronto Zoo.  Not
only did they have such a display in one of their Pavilions, in years past
(and sitll do?), but there was a clear statement about NOT buying products
made with materials from these illegally caught animals.
