The California Academy of Sciences has been using Mac's on
the public floor since 1989. We have 9 IIcx's running with a
program called LIFEmap developed by CAS.

We currently have the Star Trek exhibit from Oregon Museum
of Science and Technology (OMSI.) This exhibit uses lots of
          Mac's.

The Biodiversity Centerat at CAS also runs a Mac SE with
software developed by NOAA. CAS plans to put 2 more Mac's on
the floor using NASA software programs soon.

Behind the scenes, the Exhibits Department, Education, and
Anthropology all use Mac's. Other research departments
(Entomology, Aquarium, and Invertebrate Zoology) also have a
          single Mac.

The Academy however, is primarily a PC institution.
