*******DIGITAL LIBRARY PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT*******

Date: Monday, July 24, 2006
Place and Time: The Library of Virginia, Richmond, VA, 9 am to 4 pm

This one-day class will discuss how to coherently create, integrate, and
sustain new digital resources and programs, such as imaging projects,
within existing resources and programs. Digital Library Program
Development identifies the knowledge necessary to begin developing local
digital resources in a responsible, sustainable, and systematic manner.
This class is intended for those responsible for the development,
management, and administration of new digital library programs.

Instructor: Patterson Toby Graham is director of the Digital Library of
Georgia. The DLG partners with libraries, archives, and other
institutions of education and culture to digitize and provide online
access to key resources on Georgia history and life. The DLG is based at
the University of Georgia and is part of the GALILEO initiative.
