The Kresge Art Museum,the art museum on the campus of Michigan State
University, East Lansing, Michigan has an opening for a museum ("visiting")
intern for ten months (full-time) beginning September 1997.  The stipend is
$13,000 plus medical benefits.

The intern participates in exhibition development, grant writing,
registration, publicity, assistance in curating the permanent collection
and education programming.  Applicants need to have completed some graduate
work in the history of art and preferably have taken museum studies courses
or have some museum experience and must plan a museum career.
