I don't know about the Herald-Tribune, but that article appeared in the New
York Times on Saturday (March 11).  As I read it, the gist of it was that
the majority of those who felt creationism should be taught did not think it
should be taught as "science," but rather as a belief.  (Or maybe that's
just what I was hoping they were saying!)

        Do you have a copy of that article?  I've checked the International
Herald
        Tribune's website just now, but alas, they already have Tuesday's
paper
        posted (and I couldn't locate the article by searching back issues
on
        'creation science', 'creationism', 'science', etc..).
