Hello,

I'm doing research on eighteenth century stockings. I just did my
first slide lecture at the Gadsby's Tavern Museum Costume Symposium this
past Saturday, and it was a success!

Now I'm interested in finding more extant stockings to study. I've
been to some costume collections within driving distance of Maryland, but
I'd like to know where else I could find other stockings.

My focus is the eighteenth century, with a bit of very early
nineteenth century, too. Hand knit as well as frame knit.

     Thank you
     -Carol Kocian
