Michael K. Trimble, Army Corps of Engineers, requests any and all information
relating to costs associated with the processing and long-term care of
archaeological collections. The Department of Defense has requested that the
St. Louis District perform a cost-benefit analysis (stop screaming, please)
so that they may evaluate taking responsibility of the collections in their
care (used loosely). Mary Case, if you have any new ideas, please let me
know. As tedious as this may be, this will be the only way we can convince
the DoD to do the right thing. Consider an answer to this question a
curation peace dividend!
