Traveling Exhibiitions have been a topic of discussion lately, so here is
another TE Workshop resource: Since the time I was Chair and then
Vice-Chair of the Traveling Exhibition Committee for AAM, we developed a
traveling exhibiiton workshop that has been given at several AAM meetings,
for Women in Historic Preservation, for Penn State University, for numerous
museums, and twice now for MAAM. Rebecca Buck, Deirdre Scott, and I just
delivered this workshop in Newark over the weekend for MAAM -- to rave
reviews -- and included material this time from On The Road by Rebecca and
Jean Gilmore. The workshop can be tailored to meet the needs of any size
museum and includes the nuts and bolts of planning, budgeting, registration,
funding and marketing. Numerous handouts and worksheets are included. If
any museums, associations or colleagues who want to join together to book a
workshop, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me at 212.779.7059.
All good wishes, Cheers, Geri
