Don't ignore the sculptor, Lorado Taft, whose "Ladies of the Lakes" (a
gathering of 5 women who transfer water to each others' vessels as do the
lakes) graces the north side of the Art Institute of Chicago. It's one of my
favorites. Much info on Taft can be attained from the library where I
went to graduate school. The charming campus is the former Eagle's Nest art
colony established by Taft.
