South Africa also has antiquities collections:
The Museum of Classical Archaeology, University of Natal, Durban has
a collection comprising Greek painted pottery, some coarse ware,
ancient lamps, Roman glass, terracottas, and assorted other objects
ranging in date from pre-dynastic Egypt to the late Roman period.
The Department of Classics, Rhodes University, Grahamstown has a
collection of much the same range.
The South African Cultural History Museum, Cape Town has a larger
collection of Greek painted pottery, a substantial Egyptology
section, some Roman glass and other objects.
