Our museum in Godalming has a large collection of wills and deeds, 15th-19th
century, related to local people and properties. However I would suggest
that we would be unusual for a small local museum to hold a collection such
as this. I would expect an area archive office rather than a museum, to be
the best depoistery for a documentary collection
