CCI resources and NPS conserveograms are excellent. I like to provide the
"students" with a short list of websites and resources as you mentioned, as
well as a couple catalogs that they can take home. Gaylord, University
Products, etc. will send you catalogs for this purpose if you call and tell
them what you are doing.

Hello all,

This spring I will be giving a program to a genealogy group on how to take
care of your treasured objects. I would like to compile a bibliography of
helpful resources (books, websites, etc.) for the attendees. However,
most of the websites and books that I'm familiar with are geared more
toward those with conservation/museum training. Does anyone have
suggestions for helpful resources aimed at people with little or no
professional training in artifact preservation/conservation. (I'm going
in with the assumption that the attendees will be most interested in
conserving photos, paper-based materials, and textile.)

Thanks in advance for any help,
Amanda Dyer
