Hi,
I was wondering what everyone thought about numbering some cuff links that
I found in our collections. There are 7 total with the same number. One
is a gold-colored one with no others that match it at all. The other six
are cameo ones that are all very similar, except different sizes. Two are
large, two are small, one is medium and one is in between the medium and
small ones. Should I give them unique object id numbers (for a total of 7
numbers) or try and match them and give pairs unique numbers (for a total
of 4 numbers)? They already all have the accession number on them so I
know they were all owned and used by the same person and given to the
museum by the same person at the same time.
