The Indianapolis Art Center announces a vacancy effective December 1, 2002
for a Part-Time Gallery Technician.  Duties include receiving, uncrating,
installing, de-installing and crating exhibitions; maintaining records of
incoming and outgoing artwork; maintenance of artwork on view;
paint/bulb/materials inventory maintenance; light carpentry and construction
of exhibition elements; creating object labels for gallery use.
Qualifications:  Minimum:  sensitivity to needs of contemporary art and
artists, prior experience with listed duties, willingness to train.
Desired:  B.A./B.F.A. or M.A./M.F.A. in a visual art discipline.  Hours:
20-30 per week, flexible.  Rate of pay:  $10-$12 per hour.  To apply:
