We've been conducting a survey about the Oregon Heritage Plan.  The surveys
were sent to local historical societies and museums, historic preservation
organizations, libraries, etc., and to individuals who attended one or of
five annual state heritage conferences.  The survey went to over 1,000
addressees.

Has any one on the list conducted a similar survey of a statewide audience?
If so, what was the response rate?  What did you consider an acceptable
response rate?
