 Dear List:

Please, I am begging you: when you reply to a message, do not include the
message you are replying to. At least half, if not more, of those four
THOUSAND and 652 lines in today's digest of Museum-L were repetitions of
previous posts. There were several emails with one-sentence messages that
included the five-hundred-word essay being responded to. This makes reading
the list really difficult and tedious. It also creates an unnecessary
expense for those who pay for internet and/or telephone usage by the minute.

If you have a specific passage you want to refer to, then by all means,
leave it in if you must. But delete the rest of the quoted message.
Please? Pretty please?

Thanking you in advance -

Jill R. Chancey, Curator
