This summer I will be going to Japan to research traditional textiles
(kasuri) in Tottori prefecture as part of my graduate program in Asian
studies at the University of Oregon.  I will also be going in Tokyo and
Kyoto.  I would like to meet with museum professionals and tour museum
facilities, especially those with textile collections.  If anyone has
contacts in Japan that you would like to share, I would be grateful for
names and addresses.  I am also an archivist and plan visits to
archives or manuscript repositories.  Any contacts in those areas would
be appreciated, also.
