At our Museum we get some Jewish holidays (we are a Jewish Museum) (Passover,
Rosh Hoshanah, Yom Kippur - for example) but only if they fall during the
work week. Some years you end up getting quite a few holidays off, others you
end up getting next to nothing (this year for example).  We also get
Thanksgiving Day, New Years Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day.  We
can trade days if we happen to have to work on a holiday.  For example we
were busy putting up an exhibit during Labor Day, so I switched it for
December 24th.  This can only be done with the Director's permission though.

As for vacation days, we don't get any vacation days for the first year.  The
second year we have 5.  The third we get 10.  The 4th we get 15.  I don't
know how long this continues to increase, as the museum is only 4 years old!

We do get 5 sick days each year (including the first year).  If all days are
not taken we get paid for them.
