Our museum has a large numbers of typewriters or widely varying ages and adding machines in the collection. We are looking to weed the collection and would like to find some information to aid us in making decisions of which models may have significance on a larger scale.
We are a local history museum and just a few items have any documentation as to their source from local businesses, etc. Those items we will keep for local history value, but the others are harder to classify.
Any suggestions for sources of information on either typewriters (from antiques to early electric models) or for adding machines (same range).
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
