>>I am curious as to the number and/or location of Wedgwood specific museums
in the U.S. or even museums with extensive Wedgwood collections.<<

The Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham, Alabama, has a fairly extensive
collection. They did a catalogue in 1991 or 1992. Another place--not with an
extensive collection, but a very, very small but often unknown collection--is
Biltmore Estate, the Vanderbilt home in Asheville, North Carolina. The Wedgwood
fireplace in the Breakfast Room is quite wonderful, and there are a few other
pieces in the collection.
