I'm a last minute replacement for an emergency cancellation tonight for a
"Friday Night Lecture", a weekly event we have at our museum. I'm going to
give some information and lead a discussion on preserving family heirlooms.
A woman, who intends to be here tonight, wanted to help me out so told me
how she takes care of her textiles. She layers her old linens with dryer
sheets. It keeps them nice and white. I've never heard of anyone
recommending that before. I would thing the perfume could be harmful. And
I would suspect that if it keeps the textiles white, there is chlorine or
something similar in the sheets.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Does anyone agree with me?

Thank you,
Jerrie
