The Corita Art Center seeks a paid summer intern for its Getty Multicultural
Internship position.

The Corita Art Center is a gallery and archive dedicated to the preservation
and promotion of the art of America's foremost serigrapher, Corita Kent. A
former member of Immaculate Heart Community, Corita's works echo the
Community's commitment to fostering peace and social justice.
 
Fulltime summer position. M-F 9-5 and some weekends.
This is a 10 week position starting in June 2005.
Salary is $350/week.
 
The intern will assist with all aspects of running and small museum
including preparing and hanging exhibitions, facilitating education
programs, inventorying and conserving works in paper, website content,
memberships, sales and general administrative duties.
 
Successful applicants must live or go to college in LA, have completed one
semester of college by June 2005 and not graduate before December 2005.
Underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
