The best way to use them would be to make buckram mounts from them. Then you get the shape but can adjust it more and even have more flexibility for the exhibition.

Making the mounts are pretty simple, you cover the form with plastic and then cover with wetted buckram. Do a couple of layers so it is sturdy. when dry you can cut it off the form, use ethafoam as a filler and cover the outside with betting and either cotton knit or muslin. You can get buckram pretty cheap at arts supply stores.

If you are set on using the original forms, just be careful, they may be the wrong size, and/or the wrong shape. especially if the garment is earlier than the form.

If you want you can send me more info on the forms and maybe I can help more.
