CURATORIAL INTERNSHIP

The Reno County Museum, located in Hutchinson, Kansas, seeks an intern to
assist with collections in a facility that is expanding to include an
underground salt museum, the only one of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.

The collections intern will assist with projects related to planning the new
underground storage area, as well as the daily tasks of cataloging and
storing artifacts, assisting with research requests, and attending
collections committee meetings.  The intern will also play a significant
role in exhibit planning, preparation, and installation.

The qualified candidate will have some curatorial experience and some
academic training in collections preferably at the graduate level, and be
willing to work in a team environment.  The internship, to begin in January,
will last nine months and will be paid a monthly stipend of $1,100.  Send a
