Hello all,

Drayton Hall is interested in other institutions¹ experience with using
hand-held technologies to give visitors access to interpretation outdoors.
We have heard about some systems that broadcast information to Palm-like
devices and allow visitors to hear narration and view images, maps, and
movie clips to interpret the landscape and the layers of history the site
can offer. I have several questions for the group:

1. What museums and historic sites have used this technology effectively?

2. What hardware/software systems should we consider, and how do we contact
the appropriate companies?

3. What developers are out there who have experience with the technology and
could guide us in content development and delivery?
