If you have not already, you can consult the article "William Clark's Indian Museum in St. Louis, 1816-1838", by John C. Ewers, which is in the book _A Cabinet of Curiosities_, ed. Walter Whitehill, University of Virginia Press, 1967.

He has some ideas on the fate of some of the artifacts.

I'm researching William Clark's 1816-1838 Indian Museum located in St. Louis. Does anyone out there have any information on such objects in their collections? Any information would be great.
Thanks,
Janet Wilzbach, Graduate Student University of Missouri St. Louis
