Christian,  Roll it!  Gaylord or a similar company carries giant archival
tubes -- they must be at least 8" long.  Of course you'll still need the
scads of archival tissue, and you may need to figure out a way to suspend
the rolled object -- stick a dowel rod through the tube, mount brackets on a
wall, perhaps.  I would also have someone make a muslin cover for it, once
rolled (I hate rewrapping in the tissue, at least on the outside -- it
always tears for me).
