The information you will be collecting will be very helpful, thank you for
starting the process.

As for the fall off from Sept. 11, we first felt it, like many others, with
our investments. It is hard enough to raise it once but when you loose $$
in endowment because of the investments it really stings. As long as we sit
tight that picture may improve.

Our Business Sponsorship has also fallen off. Again, we hope this is
temporary once the economic jitters calm down and we see what happens with
the war. Unfortunately, War does help the economy.

On Sept. 7 we mailed invitations to a major fund raiser. People received
them in the mail the next day or on Monday. With this event the phone rings
off the hook for 2-3 weeks with people trying making their reservation for
the various dinners. The phone was busy Saturday and Monday as expected.
On Tuesday and for the next week the phone was extremely quiet. This event
usually fills up with in 2-3 weeks. To date I am 3/4 full. I believe
people are not in a "party" mood and unsure about the economy.

Sept. 11 also had an effect on our foreign travel program. We had a trip
scheduled to leave Sept. 30 for France. We surveyed the group that was
signed up to travel asking how they felt about traveling. We have
postponed that trip until fall of 2002. This will effect our budget for
2002, we will not do an additional trip for 2002 at this point.

We are working on our End of Year Appeal to be mailed during this quarter.
This will have to be handled very carefully and I am fearful it will not
bring in as much as in the past.

We have already had layoffs and are on a spending freeze.

Some of this slow down was starting to happen before Sept. 11 but that day
accelerated the process a lot.

Please update us on your results. Thanks for your help.
